Mark your calendar for a coast-to-coast celebration of all things train! The 5th annual National Train Day arrives on Saturday, May 12, so make your plans to attend one of the major events at train stations in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago or Los Angeles. Enjoy free fun from 11 am to 4 pm, including: live entertainment, interactive and educational exhibits, kids’ activities and elaborate model train displays. Plus, you won’t want to miss tours of Amtrak equipment, freight and commuter trains and notable private railroad cars.

On top of all that, select markets will feature exclusive exhibits, like the Amtrak 40th Anniversary Train, along with National Train Day Spokesperson, award-winning actress, Rosario Dawson in New York, Hill Harper: Scenes from the Southwest Chief in Chicago and “See More on a Train” with Dora the Explorer in Los Angeles. Join the celebration and find a May 12th event near you.

Can’t wait to get the fun started? Then let us know what inspires you on the train by entering the “See More on a Train” contest. Upload your original photos, videos and stories at http://www.NationalTrainDay.com for the chance to win great prizes.
