Darling Downs Model Railway Club Inc.Annual Toowoomba Model Train Exhibition

The Darling Downs Model Railway Club Inc. will be holding the Annual Toowoomba Model Train Exhibition for 2012 on the 2nd and 3rd of June.

Toowoomba Based Company, SEDL CONTRACTORS have jumped on board as Naming Rights Sponsors. The Event is once again two weeks earlier this year than in past years and coincides with Queensland Week, giving an even more exciting aura to the weekend.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, there will not be Live Steam Train Rides available, but we have some exceptional displays coming, several quite large in size, as well as many new to Toowoomba.

Kid’s Korner will feature A Tremendous, large fully animated Lego Display, Baillie Boys Circus and Carnival with over 7,000 patrons, There is also a Colouring Competition for the Children with some great prizes from Train Pictures and The Workshops Rail Museum.

Although this is mainly a Model Train Exhibition, other modelling crafts have not been forgotten with the Toowoomba Scale Modellers showing their masterful model creations and an animated Meccano Display.

The Ladies haven’t been forgotten either, with several Craft stalls displaying, demonstrating and selling exciting creations of several varieties.

The Darling Downs Model Railway Club Inc. takes great pride in giving the patrons value for money, with plenty of FREE Parking in the easily accessible Toowoomba Showgrounds and reasonable admission charges, you
won’t go wrong making a family day of it.

Admission charges, Adult $10.00, Pension/Tertiary $8.00 (subject to suitable ID. Pre-School and The event runs from 9am to 5pm on Saturday the 2nd June and 9am till 4pm on Sunday the 3rd of June.
