Supertrain App
Welcome to the Information and Support area for TrainTalk.TV’s first iPhone App produced for the Supertain train show, held annually in Canada. (Scroll down for Support info).
SUPERTRAIN 2012
The revised App is not quite ready and may not be in distribution before the 2012 show. The current app WILL show you current and correct Location, Exhibitor lists, News feeds and Photos.
WHO IS THIS APP FOR?
Anyone who is ‘into’ trains and has been to a train show has likely uttered the phrase ‘Who was that guy at the train show had that thing…’? Well, now your app can help remember for you. Exhibitor listings, Floor plans and important product news are all in or accessed through the app.
Used as a show planner before, a show guide during, or a reference after the show, this App lets the Supertrain show live on. Best of all, news feeds continue after the show and an internal messaging system will remind APP owners when the next show is coming.
HOW DO YOU GET THE APP?
iTunes
You simply go into iTunes and download the App – search for ‘Supertrain’. Or you can CLICK HERE
Android / Google Play
You simply go into Google Play (Android Market) and download the App – search for ‘Supertrain’. Or you can CLICK HERE
DO YOU HAVE OTHER APPS?
Supertrain is our first published APP, but we have two others in development and hope to make the service available for two main groups, Train Show Event holders and Tourist, (and other), Railways. We will soon release a free TrainTalk.TV App, where you will be able to read all this as well.
HOW DID YOU MAKE IT?
The app was produced using the AppMakr platform and uses html coding, RSS feeds and a backend database that we update here at TrainTalk.TV. News is being fed into the RSS feeds through database entry daily. If you have time, you can do it too! We’ll be providing a front end for Event holders to add and edit their own news and information through a simple web interface.
WHAT ABOUT ANDROID AND WINDOWS MOBILE VERSIONS?
Well the software supports it, but there will be no time before the train show. We are working on it and they should hopefully be available soon after the show is over.
SUPPORT
Since this is our first go round, we await your questions and feedback and will respond directly to emails at appsupport@traintalk.tv. Known issues will be posted below, as well as suggestions for improvements.
Thanks!
